What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. and Canadian employee benefits compliance issues
- Stay up-to-date on federal and state legislation to ensure plan compliance and complete required filings
- Maintain and update legal plan documents in accordance with benefit plan changes and regulatory requirements
- Conduct legal research and communicate new legislation related to employee benefit plans
- Act as a compliance liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including tax and legal experts, auditors, and consultants
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Law, Human Resources, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with retirement plans (401k, Pensions, etc.)
- CEBS or ASPPA Accreditation
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employee benefits laws and regulations
- Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft preferred
