What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex DDC control systems in commercial buildings
- Develop innovative control strategies and logic programming to maximize energy efficiency and occupant comfort
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Controls Team, including mentoring and training
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement and evaluate new technologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in the design and implementation of DDC control systems
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required
- Strong knowledge of building automation protocols and communication networks such as BACnet and Modbus
- Proven leadership and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Expertise in advanced controls programming languages and platforms such as Niagara or Tridium
- Demonstrated experience in controls system integration with IoT technologies
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex control drawings and specifications
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical codes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
