What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and process complex medical malpractice claims to determine exposure and manage claims to resolution
- Conduct full investigations and provide reports on new claims and legal actions
- Negotiate claim settlements and calculate appropriate reserves throughout the claim lifecycle
- Coordinate legal defense and monitor compliance with client guidelines
- Mentor and delegate work to assigned staff while maintaining professional client relationships
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in analyzing and processing complex medical malpractice claims
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and professional relationship management
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage work-related stress effectively
- Credit security clearance confirmed via a background credit check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in a claims specialist role within the insurance or risk management industry
- Familiarity with fraud investigation and cost containment techniques
- Experience representing a company in depositions or trial monitoring
