- Position is responsible for analysis, development, implementation, and oversight of the organizational compensation structure.
- Conducts regular review of compensation structure; benchmarks jobs against market data and reviews internal equity to ensure competitive compensation ranges for each position.
- Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of existing compensation practices, policies and guidelines to ensure they are market competitive, cost effective, and aligned with organizational goals
- Responsible for ensuring all compensation practices are in compliance with federal, state and local legislation, and other government and regulatory requirements.
- Provides advice to Leadership at all levels regarding pay decisions, policy interpretations, and position/job evaluations.
- Participates in salary surveys; monitors salary survey results to ensure organizational compensation objectives are achieved.
- Conducts FLSA reviews to ensure proper classification and administers corrections when necessary.
- Responds to new job title requests, determines necessity, conducts analysis, assigns salary grade and requests new titles to be created.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions.
- Conducts data and cost analyses to be used in various aspects of the business, including employee negotiations and/or hiring decisions.
- May participate in analysis, development, implementation, documentation and/or administration of bonus plans.
- Additional projects and duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation required.
- Progressive experience in a multi-state/municipality environment strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with expert proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information in a secure, confidential manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- At least eight years of demonstrated, progressive responsibility in employee compensation administration required
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credentials required
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)+ or Professional in Human Resources (PHR)+ a plus
CorVel is searching for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our team. This position will be responsible for development and administration of the organization's compensation programs, ensuring a competitive market based pay structure is in place while ensuring internal equity is maintained. This role will lead various projects to identify, analyze and recommend solutions for equity concerns. An ideal candidate for this position would be an experienced individual who is comfortable owning the function independently and has experience building business cases and relaying recommendations to all levels of leadership.
This will be a remote role.

Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $93,701 - $145,635
