What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement and maintain data governance policies and standards aligned with SCRI
- Serve as the subject matter expert for oncology-related data, ensuring consistent and compliant usage
- Define and maintain business metadata, glossaries, and data definitions
- Create and oversee data quality rules, identifying and resolving data quality issues
- Document data lineage and partner with technical teams to ensure accurate data management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Organizational Management, Information Systems, or related field
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Steward or Business Systems Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Deep knowledge of data governance, stewardship, metadata management, and data quality practices
- Strong understanding of healthcare and oncology data
- Experience with regulatory environments (HIPAA/PHI/PII, SOX)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with data catalog tools (e.g., Alation) and SQL
- Familiarity with compliance tools related to data quality and stewardship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence diverse groups and drive data governance adoption
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
