What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with data science leadership and business partners to develop optimization and machine learning models
- Construct large-scale, production-ready optimization, simulation, and machine learning models for real-time insights
- Design and develop frameworks for solving complex supply chain problems across various areas
- Communicate data-driven recommendations effectively to cross-functional teams
- Monitor and improve model performance metrics, incorporating feedback from business partners
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant data science experience, with at least 2 years in optimization
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as operations research, statistics, or industrial engineering
- High proficiency in Python programming for developing optimization models
- Hands-on experience with IP/MIP models and knowledge of supporting algorithms
- Ability to work independently on complex problems and manage time effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in quantitative fields or computer science with relevant experience in supply chain technology
- Experience in supply chain optimization or operations research
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms
- Experience building optimization and simulation models in logistics operations using commercial solver engines like Gurobi
