      IT Business Relationship Manager

      Position Summary:

      The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will focus on building strategic partnerships with the company’s business unit and functional leaders and stakeholders. Through collaborative and interactive engagement, the IT BRM will understand the business partners strategy, business problems, roadmaps, and challenges. In addition, the BRM will seek to understand current capability needs, define current and future state automation / technology requirements as well as help build appropriate roadmaps to reach future state. The BRM can then work to leverage resources, vendors, and technology in the enablement of the business goals.

      The IT BRM will provide cross-functional direction to multiple project managers, business analysts, business relationship managers, and an enterprise solutions team to ensure that initiatives are delivered in a way that can be leveraged and scaled across the organization and sound processes are followed. The position will have a combination of both direct and indirect reporting relationships.

      This position reports to the Senior Director of IT and will interact with various senior management team members and executive leadership across Tennant.

      Responsibilities:

      • Proactively and consistently engage with business partners to help define and align on the functional/group strategy
      • Leverage the strategy to identify and prioritize opportunities where the application of information technology will advance the strategic goals and objectives of the business
      • Provide IT functional, technical, and strategic oversight to ensure projects operate efficiently and deliver business impact
      • Introduce best practices, and provide sound recommendations and strategic direction to business process owners ensuring technology and data are appropriately governed and leveraged at an enterprise level
      • Participate in the development of plans and consolidated budgets for IT department
      • Create and coordinate consistent communication to business partners to inform on status, success, and issues.
      • Drive effective change management across business leaders and organization
      • Establishes operating rhythm, health assessments and key performance metrics for the business leaders and stakeholders
      • Drives the team to successfully deliver on transformational technology initiatives
      • Leverage the broader IT Team and capabilities to scale resources and knowledge
      • Facilitate workshops, ideation sessions and decision-making as needed with business partners, IT, and vendor partners

      Qualifications :

      • 10+ years IT leadership experience including leading teams and business partnership
      • 3+ years leading cross-functional global Continuous Improvements initiatives
      • 5+ years demonstrated IT Project Management experience
      • Demonstrated experience in effective Change Management and Communication strategies
      • Demonstrated use of lean Six Sigma processes to optimize and drive operational excellence across multiple value streams involving operations, IT, manufacturing and supply chain
      • Experience defining and rationalizing KPIs/metrics in driving measurable improvements tied to EBITDA impacting results
      • Experience managing others directly and/or indirectly through mentoring, coaching and persuasion

      • Executive Leadership level presentation and communication skills
      • Strategic visionary - able to connect the dots in a product, service, manufacturing and customer focused environment in moving from “forward thinking” to “seeing around the corner”
      • Politically savvy, great negotiation skills and leading through influence
      • Proven record of driving results and EBITDA impact
      • Executive level written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels and to communicate complex problems to other people in a simple way that they will understand
