Job Description
Join Summit Health as a Senior Manager, Accounting and Consolidations, and become a key member of the corporate accounting team. This is an instrumental role in supporting our management team, overseeing the accounting and reporting of the company’s lease portfolio, ensuring accurate accounting of complex transactions and timely reporting of the company’s consolidated financial statements.
In this role you will be a key liaison to the finance organization, business process owners and upper management. The successful candidate must possess well-rounded accounting experience, along with strong analytical skills and general ledger knowledge. You will interact with business unit controllers, finance leadership, real estate, legal and other cross functional teams in leading the lease accounting process, providing consolidated financial results, cash flow information and meaningful analytics to help guide business decisions.
How you can make a difference
• Lead the accounting and reporting of the company’s lease portfolio
• Manage a team of accountants and analysts (FTEs and external vendor resources)
• Provide technical accounting oversight of lease transactions and manage all data maintenance activities in the CoStar lease accounting database
• Own the review of monthly lease accounting reconciliations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including real estate, legal, finance and construction in performing operational reviews of rent and occupancy costs and assisting with financial forecasts
• Perform detailed reviews of lease contracts and assist with landlord inquiries
• Manage monthly consolidation close activities and the general ledger account mapping process
• Review legal entity investment and equity relationships, inter-company eliminations and the consolidated trial balance
• Prepare the company’s consolidated cash flow statement for review by management
• Assist with the internal and external monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including results of operations, specified items, balance sheet, cash flow and applicable analysis
• Provide support/analysis for all reporting requirements requested by internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, standardization, and consistency of the balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial information
• Ensure proper accounting for the Company's corporate level transactions, such as corporate allocations, accrual calculations, intercompany activities, acquisitions and divestitures
• Using a firm understanding of the company’s entity structure, general ledger and financial systems, drive process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring accuracy of legal entity reporting
• Assist with ownership of the chart of accounts and overseeing the governance of ERP data
• Assist with the preparation of external financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting
• Assist with journal entry preparation for non-routine transactions
• Coordinate with external auditors on audit requests and other third-party service providers, as needed
• Ensure all work complies with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Assist with special projects and initiatives on an ad hoc basis

Experience to drive change
• Undergraduate degree in accounting
• Master’s degree in accounting a plus
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Public company experience
• Big 4 accounting experience a plus
• 8+ years of related work experience
• Advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (ability to perform Pivots, V-lookups, and other functions with Excel)
• Lease accounting software knowledge, with CoStar experience preferred
• Consolidations experience and familiarity with intercompany transactions
• Financial ERP/Reporting system knowledge, with Workday experience preferred
• Expert knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements
This is an exempt position with the salary range of $148,000 - $153,000 based on experience.About Our Commitment
