Job Description

- Manage nominated fabric purchases for all divisions and categories.
- Team with production to negotiate with mills optimal booking dates for each season.
- Responsible to calculate yardage required based on garment yields and issue purchase order to fabric mill for all Nominated fabric qualities.
- Meet with PD, merchandising and production each collection/division for proto & SMS costing. Review CBD to confirm fabric costing is correct.
- Coordinate with R&D to ensure bulk FDS for all qualities from share drive are current and up to date.
- Build relationships with each mill in order to negotiate price & delivery.
- Manage communication channels between mills & factories.
- Monitor all communication with mill & factory.
- Troubleshoot any issues pertaining to delivery, payments, quality etc.
- Maintain fabric WIP report to allow transparency of order status to the production team and factories.
- Negotiate discounts with mills as needed.
- Manage inventory and greige booking of contingent and replen fabric qualities.
- Attend weekly WIPs.
- Attend seasonal proto and sms Risk Assessment meetings held by PD.
- Attend PD/R&D handover for each season. Distribute handover standards to mills and follow up on any open quality issues.
- Approve all bulk production submits.
- Review with management when required if fabric outside of acceptable standards.
- Discuss with mill improvements needed & request options to correct.
- Negotiate discount with mills if correction cannot be made to Vince standard.
- Send bulk references to factories indicating Mill article, style, color, season.
- Work with Merch/sales/production on buy changes
- Negotiate with mills on reductions and increases.
- Work with merch and R&D to utilize potential liability goods in future collections.
- Keep liability report updated. Prepare reference swatches to be kept on master binders.
- Track and review all fabric testing reports for compliance to Vince requirements & confer with production and R&D on any exceptions.

- 6-8 years of experience in fabric and piece goods
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must have contemporary experience and have worked in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with both internal and external parties
- Ability to analyze data at a high level
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and change

Salary Range
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 annually. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
