- Provide technical guidance on u00A0complex matters concerning GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, acting as the key technical accounting liaison globally
- Develop and implement policies and procedures required to address new accounting guidance as well as reviews over existing policies
- Bring a process improvement mindset to the accounting function, including identifying opportunities to automate, streamline and improve processes
- Lead the accounting for business combinations, divestitures and other structure changes, including oversight of third party advisors
- Advise on technical accounting implications of tax planning strategies created by the Tax department and third party advisors, including assessing potential hedging impacts and drafting journal entries
- Assist in the integration of newly acquired businesses, including the preparation of the opening balance sheet and adoption of Xylem policies and procedures (i.e. purchase accounting)
- Work with treasury on funding/investment strategies and advise on accounting implications of these activities
- Provide guidance on accounting for derivative instruments/hedging activity and manage accounting for the hedging program including reconciliations, oversight of third party service providers and accounting coordination for global hedging program
- Key contact for restructuring and realignment consolidation process including review of global reporting, technical issues resolution, ad hoc data analysis and external SEC reporting
- Work with actuaries and management to determine assumptions for all pension plans, review global consolidation of pension information and coordinate results with the business
- Coordinate with service providers to prepare, audit & file regulatory filings related to retirement plans including Form 5500s, SEC 11-K and other required financial statements
- Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding technical accounting matters
- Lead overall lease accounting process, including month end close activities, issues resolution, management of third party service provider and supervision of off-site lease accounting team
- Own vendor relationships including requests for proposal, contract renewals and ongoing vendor management
- Perform special projects and analyses as assigned by the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Reporting and Controller, Corporate
- Prepare Xylemu2019s annual impairment tests of goodwill and indefinite lived intangible assets

Bacheloru2019s Degree in accounting or business related field.u00A0 CPA required.u00A0 Minimum of 7 - 10 yearsu2019 experience in Public Accounting firm and/or Controlleru2019s functions of a major international Company.u00A0 Combination of both a plus. Supervisory experience required. Computer skills necessary, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint).u00A0 Knowledge of OneStream, CoStar, Visual Lease and Workiva a plus.u00A0u00A0 u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0
