  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Assist in the development and implementation of policy strategies to support the employer and the laboratory industry
  - Act as a liaison between internal teams and external payer representatives regarding policy and reimbursement issues
  - Monitor and communicate updates on payer policy changes and their implications for the organization
  - Advocate for the employer's positions at meetings with trade associations and regulatory bodies
  - Evaluate legislative impacts and develop strategies to address potential risks and opportunities
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of relevant work experience (or 7 years of work experience if no degree)
  - Experience in genetic counseling and prior authorizations
  - Familiarity with insurance guidelines and payer policies
  - Proven experience working with state and federal agencies and commercial insurance payers
  - Background in healthcare revenue cycle management, including claims and appeals processes

  - Experience in a clinical or business setting
  - Established relationships with policymakers and payers in the healthcare industry
  - Knowledge of the laboratory services regulatory landscape
  - Strong analytical skills to assess healthcare trends and propose actionable insights
