      Do you have a passion for driving quality and food safety initiatives? E&J Gallo Winery is seeking a Senior Product Integrity Specialist to join our team to drive continuous improvement projects. You will be responsible for establishing Quality and Food Safety programs/standards, as well as providing regional leadership to ensure facilities and processes meet documented company standards and ISO requirements. You will directly support the Modesto Quality and Food Safety team with regional support including: Spirits (Brandy), Livingston, and Turner Road Vintners.

      What You Will Do

      Innovate:

      • Designs, develops and implements operational food safety and quality standards, procedures, systems and strategies that align with corporate policy.
      • Oversees the development of pre-requisite programs required to comply with food safety certifications at all applicable E. & J. Gallo facilities and target co-manufacturers.
      • Provides subject matter expert support for HACCP and food safety programs across the enterprise.
      • Designs and executes validation and verification programs to assure brand protection and specification conformance.

      Collaborate:

      • Provide support and expertise to Engineering, Beverage-making, Maintenance and QFS groups ensuring compliance with company and industry sanitary design standards.
      • Execute internal audits and corrective actions with facilities and suppliers, generate gap plans, and support the development of site work instructions and programs.
      • Communicate corporate performance standards and develop continuous improvement opportunities for program KPIs metrics.
      • Apply and interpret statistical techniques as appropriate for plant issues utilizing risk analysis, sampling protocols and statistical techniques to drive change.

      Lead:

      • Lead cross-functional efforts to determine root cause and corrective actions for quality or food safety related issues, in cooperation with the Product Incident Process to drive enterprise continuous improvement.
      • Execute internal audits and corrective actions with facilities and suppliers, generate gap plans, and support the development of site work instructions and programs.
      • Provides food safety system (ISO FSSC 22000) and enterprise Quality and Food Safety governance for region.

      What You Need?

      • Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of production/operations, food/beverage, sanitation, engineering, product development or quality assurance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of production/operations, food/beverage sanitation, or quality assurance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
      • Required to lift and move equipment or product that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
      • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
      • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

      What Will Set You Apart?

      • Master's of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Agriculture Science, Microbiology, Enology, or Engineering including Mechanical or Chemical plus 6 years of production/operations, food/beverage, sanitation, engineering, product development or quality assurance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Agriculture Science, Microbiology, Enology, or Engineering including Mechanical or Chemical plus 9 years of production/operations, food/beverage, sanitation, engineering, product development or quality assurance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
      • Experience interpreting and analyzing an extensive variety of technical instructions/specifications in mathematical or diagram form for equipment and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
      • Knowledge of thermal processing of food and beverages and of double seams/canning.
      • Experience in project management and experimental design.
      • Experience in aseptic packaging and manufacturing operations.
      • Experience and direct knowledge of sanitation, sanitary design, and food microbiology in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.

      Compensation :

      • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $105,400 - $158,000 / year
      • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
