      Your Role:

      The Sr. Manager, Program Management has three primary areas of responsibility.

      1) Lead strategic program execution, in managing cross-functional teams and is skilled at transformation program governance. This role will have close interaction with senior management across the company and will work to ensure these leaders have the appropriate level of engagement for driving the assigned transformation to an on-time, on-budget, outcome.

      2) Manage a team of program management resources responsible for overseeing the portfolio of enterprise and divisional initiatives that enable CSAA IG to run, grow, and transform the business. This includes talent and career development, employee engagement, resource management, and ensuring the team has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver projects effectively.

      3) Align with business and IT leaders to understand divisional strategies and help translate that strategy into roadmaps for execution for the enterprise. The Program Manager helps business owners navigate portfolio processes, business case development, governance, execution, prioritization of key and critical CSAA initiatives, and measuring performance of the portfolio. The Portfolio Manager ensures the divisions and workstreams deliver consistent and quality requirements, business plans, implementation and go to market strategy) and ultimately realize benefits in support of the enterprise scorecard. The Program Manager ensures stakeholders across executive leadership, divisional leadership, workstreams, and IT are informed of relevant dependencies, changes to enterprise prioritization, capacity constraints and other potential risks in order to maintain transparency across the organization, in other functional areas and supports integrated program delivery to ensure holistic and coordinated approach across programs.

      Your work:

      • Provide central oversight and management for Next Generation Transformation, a highly visible program from program inception through execution
      • Conduct analysis on program levers, dependencies, and tradeoffs to inform program timelines, execution models and strategic investment decisions
      • Develop senior level presentations and present in meetings with Personal Lines, Technology, Finance and Operating leadership
      • Concisely articulate program updates for senior leaders to elevate progress against key milestones and to escalate blockers and support needed
      • Lead Program Management resources, including development, training, goal setting, performance appraisals, career development assistance, etc.
      • Lead and mentor Program Managers in support of Product, IT, and other cross functional partners delivering projects and programs
      • Manage consistency and quality of Program Management services provided to internal customers
      • Guide and direct employees who are project managing high complexity, high visibility programs with multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders; including the ability to help course correct and facilitate and influence decision making
      • Establish trusted relationships with key program/project partners
      • Develop plans that align with Product Managers strategy and prioritize and sequence work within programs (across projects) to deliver program benefits and outcomes
      • Act as Liaison between product leadership and Strategy Execution and Realization (SEAR) —inform SEAR's supporting teams and stakeholder groups concerning current and potential programs and projects.
      • Mobilize, motivate, and influence key partners and project teams
      • Assist Business Owners in managing risk, looking ahead for developments in the portfolio which will impact clients (keeps clients advised of relevant Portfolio Management and Delivery developments)
      • Innovate to continually improve to the betterment of the program and the Program Management.

      • Travels as needed for role, including enterprise meetings, divisional / team meetings, and other in-person meetings
      • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc

      Required Experience, Education and Skills

      • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred.
      • 10+ years of prior experience in consulting, Enterprise level portfolio / program / project management, including plan development, scheduling, estimations, status reporting
      • Experience in business analysis and process improvement project management, and change management
      • Experience in providing consulting to address large scale/highly complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of scope, benefits, business impacts, technical and people factors where required
      • Experience with financial statements, terminology, analysis and business case development
      • Experience developing, reporting and analyzing program management metrics
      • Experience leading large cross-functional projects and programs
      • Expertise and proven track record in analyzing and planning complex, multifunctional initiatives including budgeting, scope and schedule development, cross-functional dependencies
      • Minimum 2 large scale implementation of programs
      • Excellent understanding of program management
      • Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Sprint planning
      • Experience in Product Management is desirable
      • Experience in people management (FTEs and contractors)
      • Good understanding of change management principles
      • Clear demonstrable experience of managing successful teams and improving capability in a project and program delivery environment.
      • Proven experience in planning, organization, development, risk, change and resource management.
      • Solid understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities
      • Knowledge of P&C insurance products and product disciplines including product development and product management.
      • Exposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations

      What would make us excited about you?

      • Preferred 3+ years of people leader experience and at least 1 of those years leading people leaders.
      • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred
      • Strongly recommended to have prior Software Transformation program experience. GW preferred.
      • Strong financial analysis skills and experience in developing/managing business cases strongly preferred
      • High attention to detail; follows through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness strongly preferred
      • Proactive and entrepreneurial self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills strongly preferred
      • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel, SmartSheet, and PowerPoint tools strongly preferred

      The national average salary range for this position is $152,010 - $168,900 . However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $136,800 - $202,550 . This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 20% of eligible pay.
