      Cloudera is looking for an experienced, motivated, team player and driven Software Quality Assurance Engineer for the IT Engineering QA Team who delivers word-class solutions that includes web applications, microservices, integrations between systems, to our valued customers.

      As an Software Quality Assurance Engineer you will be working in a distributed team (US, Hungary, Costa Rica).       As Software Quality Assurance Engineer you will:

      • Actively participate in the whole quality chain: from the business understanding up to the test execution and reporting.

      • Apply different testing techniques from both Static and Dynamic approaches.

      • Perform analysis and refinement process over business requirements.

      • Design, document and execute test plans, test cases, and test runs efforts.

      • Perform test executions at API level, with some instances at end-to-end layer if required.

      • Report and document bugs, and generate SQA reports if required.

      • Work with/closely with functional/automation members following processes, maturing improvements, and collaborating on different activities related to the SQA lifecycle

      • Be a proactive communicator about SQA and bring visibility over possible risks if required.

      • Triage bugs: perform root cause analysis, pattern analysis, and side effect impact analysis.

      • Support the QA Team transparency and confidence by following processes.

      • Open to learn and share knowledge.

      • Participate and assist in the improvement of the QA methodology and operations.

      • Work with team members in a worldwide operational environment.

      • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

      We're excited about you if you have:

      • Relevant studies / BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

      • 3+ years of experience in the software quality field that can include: analysis, design, documentation, execution, reporting, investigation, and slight automation

      • 3+ years of experience in testing software solutions than can include: web, api, integration, performance, security, functional, data, and database verifications

      • International certifications in Software Quality such as ISTQB or related

      • Advocate to processes, continuous improvement, and transparency

      • Experience with tools that support the QA process and operation such as: Test Management tools, Jira, Selenium, Github, PostMan, and other solutions

      • Knowledge/Experience with test frameworks

      • Strong knowledge of SDLC in agile environments

      • Great analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to details

      • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

      • Solid interpersonal skills conducive to a distributed team environment

      • Ability to work effectively both, independently and as part of a distributed team

      • Ability to identify critical weak spots in software systems

      • Self-driven & motivated personality

      You may also have:

      • Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge of AWS is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge of Qase/other TMT is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge of Gherkin is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge of Selenium/Pytest/Cypress/Postman/JMeter or related is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge on Security testing is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge on Performance testing is a plus.

      • Hands-on knowledge on Pipeline/Integration platforms testing is a plus.
