Job Description

- Understanding of mobile network architectures supporting voice, data, messaging, roaming and other popular services.
- Basic understanding of 5G network technology, particularly 5G Stand Alone
- Familiarity with platform as a service concepts and applications
- Basic programming skills in a language like Python, JavaScript, or Java (not mandatory but a plus)
- Familiarity with basic generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts
- Basic understanding of telecommunications, network architecture, and wireless communication protocols
- Exposure to network analysis and telecom-specific data sources
- Awareness of geospatial analysis, edge computing, and security and privacy concepts in the telecom industry
- Familiarity with system and process automation approaches, best practices, and tools
- Basic understanding of data management, data storage and retrieval and data security methods
- Familiarity with the discipline of systems engineering, system design, testing and implementations
- Exposure to 3GPP Mobility Network Standards
- Understanding of Application Protocol Interface (API) usage, design, and implementation
- Awareness of network security mechanisms used to protect user / network data and systems from internal and external threats
- Familiarity with Data Science and Data Analytics
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.

Job Description:
OVERVIEW
Mobility Core and Network Services (MCANS) team is part of the Network CTO organization that oversees the global mobile and fixed network technology direction for AT&T, which includes the design of the company’s 5G infrastructure.
This team is responsible for the architecture, design, certification and delivery of advanced Mobility Core network functions and Network Services applications, including for IP multimedia systems and packet data, which are the future of Mobility services and experiences.
The team contributes to the growth and development of end-to-end wireless network services across Consumer, Enterprise, Internet of Things (IOT), FirstNet and public sector products. This entry-level position is part of a team that collaborates with client project teams in the development of Mobility Cloud platform delivery, CI/CD workflow automation, Big Data and Azure DevOps (ADO).
This is a very dynamic and exciting role that will allow for exposure to emerging mobility, virtualization and cloud technologies! We are seeking candidates who are eager to learn and grow their skills as part of a diverse, talented and energetic group of professionals working in the areas of cloud computing, data analytics, software development and technology delivery. This position will specifically focus on security to improve the security posture of the network functions that the team certifies.

Our Sr. Specialist Member of Technical Staff earn between $108,900.00 – $183,000.00 USD, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
