      What you’ll do

      The Senior Accountant position is an opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to join a dynamic public company with high visibility and growth potential. This individual will report directly to the Accounting Manager and work crossfunctionally across the broader finance team with financial planning, internal audit, tax, treasury, payroll and the divisions across the Company.

      As a Senior Accountant, you will participate in a broad range of activities related to full-cycle general ledger accounting in our corporate accounting team. The Senior Accountant will analyze financial data to identify issues and inconsistencies, assist in internal and external financial reporting and implement and maintain consistent accounting policy and procedure across our varied businesses. This role will also work on varied projects related to budgeting, forecast, and product planning.

      This position will require the ability to drive change and contribute to automation improvement initiatives of manual processes to produce consistent, timely and accurate financial results and reporting.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Recording and managing general ledger transactions related to software capitalization, payroll, prepaid, debt, insurance, amortization, allocations, intercompany, etc.
      • Recording and managing general ledger transactions related to operating expenses across business units and ensuring intercompany transactions are appropriate.
      • Ability to research general ledger transactions in subledgers and with other teams.
      • Ownership over specific accounts and tasks for daily operations (e.g. allocations, benefits, etc.)
      • Preparation of month-end balance sheet and income statement account analysis
      • Monitoring intercompany transactions and reconciliations
      • Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices
      • Responding to accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting business unit and departmental financial data
      • Completing external audit requests by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors
      • Protecting the organization's value by keeping financial and operational information confidential

      Job Qualifications

      • B.S. in Accounting
      • CPA a plus
      • Public accounting experience a plus
      • 4-6 years related experience within a global, complex company
      • Experience within a digital media company or related field a plus
      • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
      • Pride in accuracy and attention to detail
      • Experience with leading ERPs (Oracle a plus)
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, especially excel
      • Exposure and experience in Sarbanes Oxley a plus
      • A passion for analytical technology a plus (i.e. Power BI, advanced excel skills)

      Compensation Range
      Note: The salary compensation for this role is $85,000 to $105,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
