What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in architecting cloud infrastructure for the State of Maine utilizing AWS, Azure, and Oracle cloud environments
- Solve complex technology problems related to availability, scalability, and performance in cloud systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendor partners to optimize cloud solutions
- Document and present methodologies and architectural documents to operations, engineering, and executive teams
- Design and maintain reference architectures and operational readiness models for cloud technologies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 8 years of related post-secondary education, technical certifications, or technology-related work experience
- Knowledge of cloud architectures and implementation across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services
- Ability to identify risks related to cloud services and desired outcomes
- Experience with vendor-specific cloud certifications or equivalent knowledge of cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI) architectures
- High attention to detail in reviewing complex documents related to cloud architecture

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in risk assessment processes for information technology systems as outlined in NIST Publications
- Familiarity with information security controls outlined in NIST Special Publication 800-53
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technology requirements
- Proven research and analytical skills to communicate risks associated with cloud solutions
