Job Description
- Req#: 71247
- Develop, maintain, and edit technical documents, procedural manuals, reports, and user guides for IT systems.
- Work closely with technical staff to translate complex technical information into clear and accurate documentation.
- Coordinate layout and display of content, including graphics and formatting, to produce professional documentation.
- Assist in documenting IT environments, systems, processes, and best practices.
- Create and deliver reports and presentations on procedures and policies to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Support continuous improvement through data analysis, visualization, and reporting on performance metrics.
- Manage documentation updates in response to internal policies, audits, and operational changes.
- 8 years' experience in composing, reviewing, and editing technical documents, policies, procedures, and reports.
- 8 years' experience researching, developing, and disseminating content for technical and procedural documentation.
- 8 years' experience collaborating with technical teams to define and refine content requirements.
- 6 years' experience preparing written responses to correspondence, reports, and information requests.
- 6 years' experience presenting documentation and updates to senior stakeholders and executives.
- 5 years of technical writing experience in the public sector.
- Knowledge of IT policies, systems, and procedures.
- Familiarity with government documentation standards and best practices.
- Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational and research abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and standard documentation tools.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

This is a senior-level role requiring initiative, independent judgment, and strong collaboration skills. The position is on-site in Austin, TX, and is expected to start June 20, 2025, and continue through August 31, 2025.
