What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive the data governance roadmap aligned with product, engineering, and business goals
- Implement automated data quality checks across pipelines in collaboration with development teams
- Serve as product owner for data governance tooling and metadata platforms
- Oversee automated metadata and lineage tracking across data tools
- Champion data stewardship best practices across teams and functions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management in a fast-paced tech or SaaS environment; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years of experience
- Strong experience working cross-functionally across engineering, analytics, product, and legal teams
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with practical experience using Snowflake for data processing and transformation
- Demonstrated experience implementing and monitoring data quality programs at scale
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience leveraging AI in work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- Skilled in reporting and dashboard creation using Power BI
- Strong initiative and ownership mindset, with the ability to drive progress independently and proactively
