What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Aggregate data for target regions and ensure a complete collection of data is available
- Research open, public domain, and commercial sensor data sources to assess quality and freshness
- Utilize open-source and internally developed software tools to preprocess and prepare data
- Contribute to internal tools that process and source geospatial datasets
- Partner with various teams to provide necessary GIS data for AI/ML research and product development

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
- Experience with GIS modalities and formats such as orthoimagery, LiDAR, and vector data
- Basic scripting abilities, preferably in Python, for automation of common tasks
- Familiarity with some flavor of Linux and a Unix shell environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Team-oriented and collaborative approach with enthusiasm for learning new tools and methods
- Experience with open-source GIS libraries and tools, including PROJ and GDAL
- Comfort in a Unix shell environment (e.g., bash)
- Enthusiasm for automated development processes and systems
