What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Gather pertinent information from incoming calls regarding medications and respond to callers' needs
- Address medication-related questions, issues, prior authorizations, and refill approvals
- Perform medication reviews and clinical assessments during calls
- Collaborate with health system physicians to authorize prescription refills based on clinical guidelines
- Document encounters and e-scribe approved prescription refills to the appropriate pharmacy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire
- Proven proficiency in order processing and medication review
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in a clinical environment
- Exceptional communication and clinical judgment skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy
- Experience in a call center or clinical pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and collaborative practice agreements
- Additional certifications related to pharmacy practice
