  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Design and scale core services for LLM-driven support tooling by building modular systems that classify customer issues and propose resolution paths
  - Build user-facing and agent-facing APIs for support decision-making, ensuring consistent ticket intake and routing
  - Implement a secure customer context retrieval layer with strict access controls and auditing for safe data-driven personalization
  - Develop evaluation, monitoring, and observability for LLM-powered support by instrumenting metrics to track system performance
  - Partner across teams to define accuracy and safe automation standards, ensuring compliance with operational requirements
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating backend systems for critical, user-facing workflows
  - Demonstrated ownership of backend architecture for complex, multi-service systems
  - Deep expertise in API design for decision-making systems that produce explainable outcomes
  - Proven experience in building secure data access layers with strict authorization and PII minimization
  - Strong track record of designing systems with human-in-the-loop controls and escalation paths
  
  How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  - Direct experience building backend platforms integrating LLMs or ML models in real-time workflows
  - Background in systems transitioning from human-reviewed actions to gated automation with risk controls
  - Experience in domains requiring high correctness, explainability, and auditability
  - Familiarity with retrieval patterns for providing contextual data to models
  - Prior Staff- or Principal-level experience driving architectural direction across teams
