What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and implement core platform services, including API gateway, scheduler, and lifecycle orchestrator using Go
- Develop RESTful APIs with authentication, authorization, and observability, leveraging PostgreSQL for resource management
- Create intelligent scheduling and orchestration logic to optimize resource allocation for workloads
- Build developer CLI tooling to facilitate infrastructure resource management through intuitive commands
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate workflows and existing systems across engineering disciplines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production distributed systems
- Proven experience in platform or infrastructure engineering, particularly in building APIs and orchestrators
- Strong proficiency in Go and the ability to write clean, maintainable production code
- Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including consistency models and failure handling
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) systems
- Background in automotive software development or embedded systems
- Hands-on knowledge of HashiCorp tools (Nomad, Consul, Vault) for orchestration and service discovery
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
