State Performance Lead

Job Description

- Hold a deep understanding of each centre’s performance across all KPIs and understanding of each centre team’s capability needs.
- Prompt and coach Centre Directors when necessary to pull on appropriate state and national expert services in service of team capability and centre performance uplift while positively challenging the status quo to decouple or simplify ineffective / unnecessary line manager systems and process approvals that take up Centre Director time.
- Effectively monitor each centre’s performance using appropriate data, observations and insights.
- Work closely with all members of the State Support Team to form a holistic and current view of centre performance to better enable support services to ‘meet centres where they are at’ in terms of the centre team’s knowledge, skills and ability.
- Coordinate / broker the appropriate expert services, both in-state and nationally on behalf of centre teams requiring additional support.
- Work in collaboration with the appropriate expert services (in state and nationally) to verify Goodstart’s standards as defined in the 2025 strategy are being upheld across all centres.

- Hold qualifications in a Business, Teaching or Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) discipline.
- Have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Extensive experience in developing and executing strategic plans to uplift performance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and nurture high performance teams and coach across multi-site teams.

Location: Murarrie, Brisbane. Area to cover Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.

The State Performance Lead works alongside the State Manager to ensure we have the best Centre Directors in every centre, every day. The role works across all centres in the state to form a holistic view of centre performance with consideration to each centre’s contextual situation. The primary focus of this role is to support and work in service of centre leaders and teams to achieve organisational goals. A key element of the role is ensuring high and consistent centre performance and to coordinate the appropriate support services in-state and nationally to support the centre team.
This role requires strategic thinking, collaboration and coordination across state and national functions and the ability to navigate complexity, competing priorities and constantly changing situations and needs.
The successful candidate will be able to work a hybrid model, however it is expected for them to work out of the Centre Service Office in Murarrie one to two days a week.
