      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead statewide initiatives for the implementation of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) standards
      - Design and evaluate health care policies related to SUD treatment under ASAM-4
      - Provide subject matter expertise and technical assistance to community behavioral health agencies
      - Research and develop new strategies for statewide health care initiatives
      - Collaborate with various stakeholders to improve access to care and expand harm reduction efforts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in social public health, social services, behavioral health, or a related field, and three years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience; or an Associate degree with seven years of experience; or nine years of relevant experience
      - Experience in conducting research, analyzing policies, and managing operations in a healthcare system
      - Knowledge of DSM-V and ASAM criteria for determining care levels for substance use disorders
      - Ability to problem-solve and prioritize workloads effectively
      - Understanding of Medicaid Managed Care in Washington state

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a licensed behavioral health agency providing substance use disorder services
      - Knowledge of federal and state substance use disorder regulations
      - Project management skills and experience applying methodologies to healthcare initiatives
      - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences
      - Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare practices
