We have an immediate opening for a Research Associate - Statistician position in the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center within IU Research at Indiana University, Bloomington.The Indiana Statistical Consulting Center (ISCC) provides statistical support on all IU campuses, as well as external universities and organizations. Services include (1) power and sample size calculations, preliminary data analysis, and other grant related support for faculty in the proposal or pre-proposal stage, (2) methodology, data analysis, interpretation, and writing support for PhD students working on their dissertations, and (3) all of these services plus writing statistical methods and results for all faculty, staff, and PhD students working on internal or external publications. The team provides collaborators with high-quality, reproducible statistical support.The statistician will work under supervision of the ISCC Director while working directly with clients. Their primary duty will be to work with faculty applying for grant proposal assistance through the Research & Evaluation Design Support (REDS). Additionally, they will assist with all parts of the research process, from study design and methodological decisions to data analysis and preparation of tables, plots, and text for any client type. The statistician will be responsible for developing and maintaining well annotated syntax code with an organized workflow, and will be expected to actively participate in meetings to ensure alignment with client expectations and foster a collaborative atmosphere with peers. They will also provide comprehensive support as needed by the Director to enhance project outcomes as well as ISCC and IU Research objectives.About the company
