      The Challenge:

      As the Store Manager you are responsible for cultivating an environment that focuses on the customer experience, promoting Boardriders purpose of awakening the spirit of freedom and adventure and building a team that provides best-in-class customer service. The Store Manager is the leader and ultimately responsible for delivering financial results by meeting sales goals.

      You will exercise independent judgment and discretion in developing, articulating, and implementing sales strategies and plans to drive the business. You will own the store experience from a merchandise presentation, process management, and customer and employee experience perspective.

      Your key responsibilities will include:

      • Interviewing, hiring, training, retention/succession planning, disciplining, and terminating employees in a timely matter
      • Supervises up to 25 hourly associates including Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Sales Associates
      • Leads regular Manager Meetings and All Store Meetings to ensure communication is streamlined
      • Implements company training programs; monitoring staff training in product knowledge, customer service and selling skills
      • Establish relationships between your customers as well as those working with and above you (Assistant Store Manager, VP of Stores, District Manager, HR, IT etc.)
      • Achieving store sales goals and creating strategic sales plans with the District Manager
      • Meets Weekly & Monthly payroll goals
      • Continuously seek and provide feedback to elevate the customer experience

      Who are we looking for?

      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
      • 4+ years of experience in the retail and/or customer service field
      • Previous management experience
      • Previous inventory experience
      • Strong communication, influencing and time management skills
      • Enjoy being part of a team environment.
      • Availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings, and holidays to meet the needs of the business
      • The ability to safely lift 30 lbs. and can maneuver throughout the sales floor and stockroom

      Hourly Rate Range: $25.50 - $36.05

      The indicated pay range is what Boardriders reasonably expects to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions will be determined based on a variety of considerations such as work location, work experience, industry experience, education, seniority, responsibility level, or similar factors.
