This role is a part of the Data Center Strategic Planning organization who's charter is to optimizes the Data Center portfolio to maximize financial returns through strategic planning and execution. It leads both short- and long-range planning across the full P&L, delivers comprehensive market intelligence to uncover growth opportunities, ensures product development remains affordable, and manages DCG’s in-market product portfolio. By aligning investments with market dynamics and continuously optimizing the portfolio for maximum return, the team empowers data-driven decisions that drive sustained business performance.
Who You Are
We are seeking a highly analytical and cross-functionally savvy Strategic Forecasting Lead to join our Strategic Planning team within the Data Center CPU business. This role will be responsible for developing forward-looking demand forecasts for hyperscaler customers and aligning those forecasts with our evolving Xeon CPU roadmap.
You will work across short-term Plan of Record (POR) teams and customer-facing teams to synthesize market signals, customer insights, and internal roadmap scenarios into actionable forecasts. These forecasts will directly inform long-range business planning, roadmap feature decisions, and scenario modeling for our Xeon portfolio.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Build and maintain quarterly and long-range demand forecasts for hyperscaler customers, incorporating inputs from customer teams, market intelligence, and internal roadmap assumptions.
• Partner with POR teams to align near-term demand signals with roadmap execution and product readiness.
• Collaborate with customer business development and sales teams to validate assumptions and capture shifts in hyperscaler strategies (e.g., BYO silicon, AI infrastructure investments).
• Drive scenario planning to evaluate the impact of different roadmap and market trajectories on CPU demand and revenue.
• Provide strategic insights to influence roadmap feature prioritization, SKU mix, and go-to-market strategies.
• Present forecast insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including Strategic Planning, Product Management, and Finance.
• Support of Product Life Cycle (PLC) milestones with volume and revenue profiles.

Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to VP-level or above stakeholders. Must have led or contributed to cross-functional initiatives involving at least three different teams (e.g., product, sales, finance).

Qualifications:

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$146,670.00-$207,060.00S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
