- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
- Leads DTCC’s sourcing efforts, developing a team of specialists that support the organization’s $700m+ procurement of goods and services
- Brings deep IT expertise and knowledge of technology resellers, partners, sourcing strategies, pricing, approaches, and sales strategies
- Leads spend benchmarking and brings technology service delivery expertise to develop and manage performance indicators and scorecards for all external technology spend
- Develops and extends a reseller strategy to drive cost reduction and service improvement against spend categories
- Works closely with the Head of Procurement
- Exhibits role-model leadership behaviors across direct and indirect reports who look to this role to create clarity, provide a clear and understandable vision, and drive positive and productive change both within and outside of the organization – including senior executive leaders across DTCC and our most critical suppliers
- Acts as an influential leader across senior leaders – using critical thinking, organizational change, strong business insight, and deep experience driving global procurement fundamentals - to develop and implement operational, process, system, and strategic improvements and business priorities to achieve DTCC priorities
- Leads critical cross-organizational projects and/or participates in company-wide projects representing supplier, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities
- Ability to drive, challenge and improve our existing systems and processes to improve performance
- Drive efforts focused on building DTCC’s ESG efforts across sustainability and supplier diversity
- Furthers a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Prior experience building a strategic sourcing strategy at scale
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in a management, supervisory, or leadership position that demonstrates the ability to effectively supervise, delegate, communicate, mentor and solve problems with a diverse and creative staff
- Expert ability to communicate information clearly and concisely in both written and oral presentations, which includes creating high-impact presentations of sophisticated information and issues with brevity, clarity and accuracy.

The impact you will have in this role:
The Executive, Director, Strategic Sourcing reports to Managing Director, Finance Strategy and leads DTCC's Strategic Sourcing team for Corporate Procurement Services.
The Strategic Sourcing leader defines and implements the organization's overall sourcing strategy and leads operations that build value and drive vendor partnerships focusing on risk management, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Implements structured negotiation processes that facilitate supplier negotiations and contracting.
Collaborate with internal customers (e.g., IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Risk, Businesses, etc.) to define material, quality, and service requirements and standards. Understand the internal customer experience and difficulties while crafting solutions that resolves the issues holistically and strategically.
Additionally, the Executive Director develops vendor partnerships, sets performance indicators and goals and uses scorecards to measure and evaluate vendor performance. Explores and obtains new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials. Studies market intelligence and conducts frequent market analysis and benchmarking to manage overall spend, ensuring the right pricing and service levels. Leverages ERP systems and other procurement software tools to manage and report on processes, create efficiencies, and control costs.
