      The Position

      Diagnostics Strategy Team Lead

      You are part of a high-performing team in charge of the continuous development and implementation of the Roche Diagnostics strategy and operating model with the aim of maximizing the overall value for Diagnostics and unlocking the power of the whole organization. You drive for impact for Roche Diagnostics and focus on achieving goals and delivering high-quality outcomes.

      You will lead, coach and develop a team of strategy experts and guide their work on strategic initiatives, for ex. increasing product launch excellence, reviewing key development projects, and developing segment strategies. You provide thought leadership and direction towards our Diagnostics strategy.

      You will collaborate closely with different functions and teams as well as with a broad variety of senior stakeholders across Diagnostics, including the Diagnostics Leadership Team (DLT). You are able to mediate discussions and find agreements between different stakeholders. With your strong understanding of different teams of Diagnostics and their overall contribution, you are able to represent a Divisional perspective in your work.

      This role reports to the Head of Diagnostics Strategy. It is newly created and you will therefore have the opportunity to further shape the team.

      Team accountabilities would include, but are not necessarily limited to those outlined in this posting:

      • Drive prioritised strategic initiatives and run quarterly prioritisation for the team

      • Further build up expertise for strategy development and planning (including the alignment of strategic plans and priorities across all units in Diagnostics) as well as operating model design and process simplification

      • Propose and review divisional annual strategic priorities and objectives

      • Understand healthcare markets, trends, competitive shifts and their relevance for a strategy review

      Who you are

      You have a University degree in a relevant discipline, typically with 15+ years of experience, operating in areas of strategy and relevant to Healthcare / Diagnostics.

      You bring a strong record in building and leading diverse teams as line manager and in projects/ matrix at enterprise level. You foster professional growth of team members by expanding and developing capabilities, giving feedback, coaching, and architect their careers. Your practical experience includes among others scoping and designing large programs, (re-)prioritising and coordinating teams and members in an effective way.

      A good understanding of the healthcare sector, preferably of Diagnostics, is required.

      In addition, you bring the following experience and competencies:

      • Experience in global roles

      • Acting with an enterprise mindset and as team player

      • Concise communicator and high proficiency in managing senior stakeholders

      • Structured thinking, proven problem-solving skills and independent work style

      • Ability to work in a fast-moving and agile environment

      Work location is in Rotkreuz or Basel, Switzerland. Please note that remote work is possible on selected days a week upon agreement. Up to 25% of the time, international business travel may be required depending upon ongoing business project activities.
