Job Description
- Req#: 24180
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the Broom Sweeper Truck
- Conduct minor mechanical checks and report any vehicle or equipment issues
- Safely operate the Broom Sweeper on assigned routes across various job sites
- Wear required PPE and enforce safety standards among the team
- Review scheduled routes and clarify instructions or concerns as needed
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all assigned jobs
- Track and validate completed tasks in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain a high standard of service and cleanliness across all jobs
- Report equipment failures, near misses, or accidents to a supervisor within 8 hours
- Refuel truck at the end of the shift before returning to the shop
- Overnight travel may be required based on project needs
- Support and lead team members during daily operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant field experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with air brake endorsement and medical card
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, oil, grease, and chemicals
- Physically active role involving:
- Lifting 50+ lbs., pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods
- Frequent walking, driving, and equipment operation
- Strong visual acuity including depth perception and close/distant vision
- Regular use of hands, arms, eyes, neck, and shoulders to operate and monitor equipment, including mirrors and backup cameras
- Tow motor (powered industrial truck) operation experience a plus
- Must maintain a clean driving record and remain compliant with DOT and company regulations

Job Title: Lead CDL Driver – Day Shift
Location: 21430 Coolidge Highway, Oak Park, MI 48237
Shift: Full-Time | Day Shift (Schedule subject to change based on business needs)
Starting Pay: $24 based on experience*** Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000 based on experience (restrictions apply) ***
Job Summary:
SCA is seeking a dependable and experienced Lead CDL Driver to operate a Broom Sweeper Truck while leading and supporting a crew to ensure successful route completion. In this leadership role, you will provide guidance to your team, ensure route readiness, and deliver high-quality service to customers such as new housing developments, contractors, municipalities, and road construction projects. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering excellent service while upholding company standards.
