  With online technologies constantly adapting and changing to meet the needs of today’s Higher Education institutions, the Accessibility Remediation Team in the Office of Teaching & Learning helps UVU students have access to the most accessible course resources they need to achieve their education goals. We are looking to expand our dedicated team with a detailed individual who is passionate about student success and enjoys tedious, precise work. Responsibilities will encompass supporting instructional design and support services staff by remediating documents to comply with accessibility guidelines ( WCAG 2.0) including appropriate headings, alt-text identifiers, bulleted lists, reading order, colors, fonts, and layout. Training will be provided. This position may also be amenable to an internship for certain majors.
  • Must be a current UVU student who is proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be a self-starter in learning new software tools and finding solutions to problems.
  • Knowledge of multiple computer systems, MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, email, and Canvas.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Distance Education helpful.
  • Skill in-office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Must be detail-oriented and thorough while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to review electronic files with attention to finite details.
  • Ability to meet and deal with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and speaking.
