      The research group "Interactive and Cognitive Systems" investigates artificial and natural cognitive systems and develops novel methods of human-machine interaction. One objective is the development of interactive virtual reality (VR) applications. Currently we are looking for a motivated student (m/f/o) to assist the development of a system that extracts emotion-based information from a VR user and adapts the VR scenario accordingly. The role involves collection and analysis of physiologic user data including data from electroencephalography (EEG), electrocardiography (ECG), electrodermal activity (EDA) and pupillometry.       What you will do

      • Planning and conducting psychophysiological measurements (electroencephalography, electrocardiography, electrodermal activity monitoring, and pupillometry)

      • Analyzing recorded data

      • Implementation of algorithms to analyze psychophysiological measurements

      What you bring to the table

      • Enrolled Bachelor/Master student (m/f) with good grades in one of the following programs: Electric engineering, physics, cognitive science, applied mathematics, neuroscience or a related field.

      • You should be at the end of your Bachelor or in the first semester of your Master studies.

      • A good command of Python for data processing (MNE python, NumPy, Pandas)

      • Hands-on-knowledge in signal processing

      • Experiences with online analysis and the conduction of neuroscientific/psychophysiological experiments are an advantage.

      The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.

      The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
