What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review data filings received for completeness and accuracy
- Identify and resolve potential data errors in collaboration with staff
- Organize and file received data, ensuring proper data management
- Assist in analyzing data using Excel and other software tools
- Respond to inquiries from data filers and the public regarding reporting forms and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a college student attending classes with a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to edit with MS Word
- Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical staff
- Ability to follow through on assignments and provide timely progress reports
- Must reside in California and perform all work within the state
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Skills in Adobe Acrobat and Office 365
- Experience with Excel pivot tables and creating visualizations of data
- Familiarity with ArcGIS for basic map creation
- Experience in customer service or user support via email and phone
- Knowledge of California's electricity generation system and various energy sources
