What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage communication for the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) program through email and phone, coordinating meetings with staff and stakeholders
- Assist in project certification reviews to evaluate the eligibility of renewable energy technologies
- Conduct application reviews and maintain stakeholder communications via the RPS Online System software
- Collaborate with staff to track and resolve discrepancies in reported data, utilizing Excel spreadsheets
- Perform RPS-related research and assist with various special projects as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a college student enrolled in at least six semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students, or four semester units or six quarter units for graduate students
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong research, writing, organizational, and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Comfortable and confident in communicating via phone and email
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with clean energy resources and technologies
- Experience working with databases and analyzing data to present conclusions
- Individuals who have been a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth, or a formerly incarcerated youth are encouraged to apply and will receive priority consideration
