What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct services through crisis intervention, support, safety planning, and criminal justice advocacy based on victims' needs and assessments
- Report victim cases and updates to the Director of the Victim Assistance Department on a biweekly basis
- Network with court, law enforcement, and other victim assistance agencies
- Oversee and maintain confidential client records
- Develop and maintain relationships with multiple judicial districts first-line responders to crime victims, such as law enforcement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master's Degree
- Interest in victim or human services
- Commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Commit to a minimum of six months
- Complete online OVC 40-hour training prior to the start date
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual
- Prior experience or demonstrate knowledge of victim advocacy and crisis intervention
- Strong computer and analytical skills, utilizing Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other software
