What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results regarding obesity treatment coverage in state Medicaid plans
- Perform research and writing on obesity-related topics, including treatment and coverage
- Prepare literature reviews, data analyses, and background reports for research projects
- Assist in experiments, data entry, data cleaning, and data analysis under the direction of faculty or research coordinators
- Draft summaries, create graphs and figures, and contribute to reports and presentations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Some applicable educational, technical, or professional experience required
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work
- Strong writing and research skills
- Understanding of health policy concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience analyzing statistical data
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with health policy and its implications for public health
- Comfortable working within an anti-racist framework
- Previous experience in research or data analysis within a public health context
