      Position Highlights

      Under the direction and supervision of the Program Manager, the testing proctor will perform various duties to ensure efficient proctored exam services. The position is responsible for securing exam delivery and providing superior customer service in a comfortable, efficient, and friendly environment.

      The individual must successfully complete proctor training and certifications within the first 90 days. The individual will comprehend and adhere to the policies and procedures of exam partners and the Testing Center.

      Travel to off campus and around Southern Arizona is occasionally required. Candidate must have reliable transportation.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      Administer a variety of exams to students and community members including professional certifications, credit-by-examination, degree-specific exams, and program entry exams.

      Comprehend and adhere to policies and procedures of exam partners. This includes successful completion of proctor training and certification.

      Check-in/out candidates, verify identification and explain the exam process. This includes security protocols, inspection of candidate clothing, supplemental materials and assistive devices.

      Monitor candidates via surveillance camera and walk-through while testing. Ensure a secure test environment by enforcing exam policies and procedures.

      Resolve candidate systematic problems or test-related issues that may arise during the exam. Communicate with exam partners to investigate and fix technical problems. Report exam or candidate discrepancies/issues in a timely manner.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
      Strong administrative and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
      Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn testing software.
      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
      Ability to exercise sound judgment and high level of discretion in handing confidential and sensitive information.
      Punctuality and reliability.
      Flexibility in work hours and work days, including evenings and weekends.
      Excellent customer service skills.
      Knowledge of policies, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
      Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including personal computers, telephones and copiers.

      Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED.
      Preferred Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age.
