What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales objectives for assigned geographical area
- Maintain a significant opportunity pipeline through continual prospecting and networking
- Drive customer success through ongoing engagement with existing customers post-acquisition
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve short and long-term objectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to enhance the sales process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with customers and colleagues
- BS in pure or applied sciences (MS or PhD preferred)
- Prior experience selling capital equipment is preferred
- Highly organized with solid time management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of optical microscopy or tribology equipment
- Experience with multi-level sales channels
- Familiarity with the academic and industrial markets served by the employer
- Understanding of Miller-Heiman Strategic and Conceptual selling methodologies
- Background in microelectronics, including semiconductor market knowledge
