- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience using quantitative analytical skills in an academic or professional context.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookup, index/match, sumifs).
- Successful candidate with be self-directed, motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player; this includes showing adaptability.

The services we provide include customer check-in, baggage handling and servicing of the aircraft on the ground in preparation for the next flight. Compensation and Work Schedule:
At UGE, we believe in empowering the next generation through hands-on learning experiences. As part of this, all 2024 Summer Interns at UGE will be paid $20/hr. ($8,000 for the term) on a bi-weekly W2 basis. Summer 2024 Interns are also eligible for 2 PTO days and 2 holidays, Memorial Day and July 4. We encourage all team members to take advantage of the travel privileges provided through United Airlines, and all 2024 Summer Interns will work a 9/80 schedule to facilitate every other Friday off. This means a workday of around 8.5-9 hours.
Work Location:
The Business Development Intern will work a hybrid schedule with a maximum of 2 days a week at our Corporate Support Center (CSC) located adjacent to O’Hare International Airport (with free parking!). This hybrid schedule will also include in-person events and trainings not limited to onboarding, team building, 1-1 time with our Senior Leadership Team, paid corporate travel, and service projects supporting our Chicagoland neighbors.

Summary:
At the core of UGE’s operations is our Finance Department, supporting our line stations, hubs, and our Corporate Support Center (CSC) in the execution of annual budgeting, fiscal governance, and risk mitigation. The Summer 2024 Business Development Intern will report to the Business Development Manager and join our agile Business Development Team to support the execution of new business development across the United States.
