      We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer Intern for the summer of 2025 currently working on earning a major or minor in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Plastics

      About this position:

      The Manufacturing Engineer Internship is a "hands-on" learning position for students working on a degree in engineering, manufacturing or plastics. This position will support the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations through project work that is custom tailored to the candidate's strengths and areas of interest.

      Education and Qualifications

      • Currently enrolled in Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree (or higher) Program for Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics or Manufacturing

      Responsibilities (under Supervision as needed):

      • Work on special projects in the production department as directed by Supervisor
        • Possible project areas include Tooling Design, Lean, Six Sigma, Process Optimization, Automation, Maintenance, Tooling and more
      • Additionally, a summer Manufacturing Intern may help us to:
        • Troubleshoot existing processes to improve product quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency
          • Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, improve yield and throughput, drive cost reduction activities and improve on part quality
          • Use systematic problem solving tools to troubleshoot both current and new product issues.
          • Troubleshoot existing processes
          • Assist with the implemention of technical solutions, including scientific and statistical methodology, to meet customer cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
          • Support safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.
          • Use Scientific Injection Molding principles to keep molding processes running smoothly in order to produce high quality plastic components
