Hourly $18.00 to $18.00 Number Of Positions
20 Position Summary/Job Duties:
I am looking for someone to care for my 13 year old son on the autism spectrum approx. 1 night every other week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or Saturday evenings to provide respite care to mom. Optional opportunity for occasional overnights. Flexible start/end dates with potential to continue through the school year. This child is an extremely funny and loving kid who mainly spends time on his iPad and likes to sing songs, swing, hang out on the couch and make people laugh. Responsibilities would mainly include assisting with bedtime routine, social interaction, playing in the yard, help serving snacks, but there will be downtime so that you can study and/or relax while he does his own thing. House is in the Schenk-Atwood neighborhood right off the bike path/on the busline.
Preference for students interested in Special Education, OT, PT, Speech Therapy, Social Work, Nursing or Education. Experience with kids who have a disability is a plus.
Qualifications:
Responsible, caring person with some childcare experience.
