Summer Experience Veterinary Assistant

We are a fast-paced, 24-hour emergency/specialty referral practice in beautiful San Diego California. We offer competitive compensation and great benefits for all employees. We are currently looking to add to our team and are seeking an Veterinarian Assistant to add to our Emergency/Critical Care Department for the busy summer months. We are seeking someone who believes in high quality veterinary medicine with the experience and know-how to make it happen.

Compensation: $ 17.25 - $ 20.00 / hr

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Assist with physical examination and patient assessments
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring
• Laboratory work and prescription refills
• Patient recovery and compassionate care for our clients and patients
