- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable supervising multiple children.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Non-smoker.
- Access to reliable vehicle a plus, but not required.
Department Overview:
We are looking for a summer nanny to spend time with our two kids, ages 2 and 6. Our kids love being outside (biking, swimming, gardening), creating projects (art and simple science experiments), and going on local adventures like the library, museums, and the neighborhood pool.
We are located on the west side of Madison, with easy walking and biking access to several parks, trails, and our neighborhood pool.
We are hoping to find someone who is reliable, creative, patient, and energetic, and who enjoys being active and engaged with kids throughout the day.
We're located off the SW Commuter Path (20 - 30 min bike from campus) and along a bus line (40 min. bus from campus)

30 Schedule:
Example schedule below. Our family's schedule is flexible and we would work with the selected applicant to find the right schedule fitting needs/availability.
M- 8:00am-3:30pm
T/W/F - 9:00am-4:30 pm
Off on Thursdays.
Our family will be on vacation for a week at the end of July and that week will we paid time off for the position.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $20.00 to $23.00 Number Of Positions
1 Position Summary/Job Duties:
This is a summer nanny position focused on providing attentive, hands-on care and helping create a fun, structured summer for our two children.
Responsibilities include supervising and engaging two children (ages 2 and 6), partial planning and participating in outdoor play, crafts, and simple projects, driving children to local activities such as parks, the pool, the library, and museums, preparing simple lunches and snacks, and maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
Light tidying related to children’s activities is expected and cleaning up after meal/snack time. The boys love to help and we encourage them to participate in meal prep and clean up as well.
We have a large backyard with a garden and live close to several parks and our neighborhood pool. While we have plenty to do close to home, being comfortable driving children to local activities is strongly preferred.
An end-of-summer completion bonus is provided.
Qualifications:
Physical Demands
Playing with children indoors and outdoors, walking, light lifting, biking with children, swimming supervision, and driving to local activities. Application Instructions:
