      THE ROLE:

Our summer student program provides an opportunity to experience real-world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with other students and create a vision for your future career path.

      Working with our Unconventional Development Technology team in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May to September 2024. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network.       HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

      • Provide engineering support to Carbon Capture commercial demonstration plant operations and engineering teams
      • Provide engineering support on future carbon capture optimizations, including running process simulations
      • Support the ongoing GHG Abatement Study which includes reviewing EPC contractor calculations, findings evaluations, economics, and reports
      • Collaborate with the Technology and Innovation Lead to review and evaluate internal technology opportunity assessments, proposals, and pitches from technology vendors. This includes running technical and economics assessments (TEAs)

      WHAT YOU BRING:

      • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a Canadian post-secondary institution, and must be returning to studies after the work term
      • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering preferred, with a minimum of three years of study completed
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with superior Excel skills
      • Familiarity with process simulation tools is an asset.
      • The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
      • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
      • Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
