What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and collaborate to ensure accurate clinical information in medical records
- Identify educational opportunities through audits and chart reviews
- Trend data and produce reports in collaboration with the CDI Auditor
- Ensure appropriate clinical severity is captured for the level of service rendered
- Maintain knowledge of updates from CMS and other payers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Recent Clinical Documentation Specialist experience
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Document Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience
- RN Bachelor Level Degree
- Current RN license in Virginia or North Carolina; Compact License also acceptable
