      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Supervise and mentor coding staff, ensuring adherence to performance standards and workload goals
      - Assist the Coding Manager with scheduling, payroll, and coding assignments
      - Perform production coding as needed to support departmental operations
      - Facilitate communication and collaboration between key stakeholders to resolve coding errors
      - Identify and address workflow barriers to improve operational efficiency

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree
      - 3 years of experience as a production coder, including assigning ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS codes
      - Excellent organizational and project management skills
      - 1 year in a leadership role or similar oversight of staff and processes
      - Professional Coding Certification

      - Experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on coding and billing processes
      - Familiarity with revenue cycle management and performance indicators
      - Strong analytical skills for assessing coding data and workflows
