What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise coders, assist with training new staff, and manage workload goals and performance standards
- Assist the coding manager with scheduling, payroll, and education for physicians
- Provide production coding support as needed
- Build strong relationships and facilitate communication between key stakeholders and core support departments
- Organize and monitor special projects to ensure timely and accurate completion
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production coder, including ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- At least 1 year in a leadership role or similar oversight of staff and/or processes
- Professional Coding Certification
