      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Supervise and direct the activities of ambulatory coding staff to ensure accurate billing and database integrity
      - Participate in the coding of ambulatory medical records and provide feedback on performance standards
      - Plan and implement ongoing in-service training programs for coding staff
      - Conduct recruitment and selection processes for coding positions
      - Audit hospital-based clinic coding and provide results to clinicians and administration

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field and an AHIMA or AAPC coding credential (COC-A, COC, CPC-A, CPC, CCS, etc.) required
      - Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in outpatient coding or clinical healthcare environment, with at least two years in a managerial or leadership role
      - Certified coding credential (COC-A, COC, CPC, CCS, etc.) required
      - In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
      - Excellent oral and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Audit experience and knowledge of outpatient reimbursement
      - Familiarity with ChargeMaster processes
      - Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPC's Coding
      - Understanding of current billing and regulatory requirements, including Federal Compliance Regulations
      - Strong organizational and personnel skills
