      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Supervise and direct the activities of ambulatory coding staff to ensure timely and accurate billing and database integrity
      - Participate in the coding of ambulatory medical records and provide routine feedback on performance standards
      - Plan and conduct ongoing in-service training programs for coding staff
      - Implement changes in coding systems as mandated by State and Federal regulations, ensuring appropriate training is provided
      - Collaborate with financial analysts in reviewing the clinic ChargeMaster and auditing hospital-based clinic coding

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field and a certified coding credential (COC-A, COC, CPC-A, CPC, CCS, etc.)
      - At least five (5) years of progressive experience in a hospital outpatient coding or clinical healthcare environment, with a minimum of two years in a managerial or leadership role
      - In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
      - Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPC's coding systems, as well as current billing and regulatory requirements
      - Excellent oral and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Audit experience and knowledge of outpatient reimbursement processes
      - Familiarity with ChargeMaster management
      - Strong organizational and personnel management skills
      - Previous experience in a healthcare leadership role
